Move forward until reaching the trash dumpster and afterward lift the hopper until it clears the bin by 1 or 2 ft and progress forward until the lift truck is touching the outside of the dumpster.
Self dumping hoppers will automatically unload on contact with the dumpster. Traditional hoppers or dump buckets require the use of the tilt lever to be able to slant the prongs downward until they reach a 45 degree angle.
